Information, not advice

Everything on eRoadBikeGuide is general information to help you research electric bikes and related gear. It is not legal advice about where you may ride, not safety certification of any product, and not a substitute for the manufacturer's manual. Electric bike law differs by state, city and land manager, and it changes. Check the rules that apply where you ride before relying on anything written here, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for charging, storage and maintenance.

Accuracy and changes

We work from published specifications, certification standards and the law as written, and we say where a figure comes from. Manufacturers change specifications, prices and model names between production runs without notice, so a detail that was correct on the date shown on a page may not be correct today. Prices shown next to Amazon products are captured at build time and dated; the price on the retailer's page at checkout is the one that counts. If you find an error, tell us through the about page and we will fix it.

Affiliate relationships

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon, where we earn from qualifying purchases as an Amazon Associate. Clicking one costs you nothing extra. Commissions do not influence which products we cover or how we rank them; the full explanation is on the about page. Affiliate links are disclosed on the pages that contain them.

We link to manufacturers, retailers, government bodies and standards organisations because that is where the primary information lives. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your data.

The text on this site is written by us and is protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page you are quoting. You may not republish whole articles, scrape the site to build a competing publication, or present our material as your own. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products discussed.
